Josh Zammit is an Australian filmmaker and visual artist based in Los Angeles. With a background in post-production and a long-running collaboration with writer Sam Loveridge, Zammit develops personal, often existential projects that lean into the surreal, the abstract, and the unresolved.

His work includes the indie horror Observance (co-writer/producer), which screened at Fantasia and the BFI London Film Festival, and the award-winning short Ascendant, a stark black-and-white film that won Best Cinematography at St Kilda and the ACS Gold Tripod.

A self-taught visual artist since childhood, Zammit’s drawings reflect the same raw, instinctive energy found in his films. He’s currently developing two feature projects: Seeder, a dystopian sci-fi, and Dugong, a coastal psychological drama to be shot in Australia.
