Josh Zammit is an Australian writer-director and visual artist based in Los Angeles. He co-wrote and produced the independent horror feature Observance, which screened at Fantasia and the BFI London Film Festival, and directed the black-and-white short Ascendant, which premiered at the St Kilda Film Festival. His feature screenplay Seeder was a 2022 Academy Nicholl Fellowships Quarterfinalist.

With a background in post-production and a long-running collaboration with writer Samuel Loveridge, he develops his own features alongside an art practice in drawing, print and carved figures that he's kept since childhood.

He is currently developing three features: Dugong, an Australian coastal horror he intends to direct, which is Black List Recommended; Seeder, a dystopian science-fiction film; and The Moya Project (working title), a cosmic horror inspired by a real fossil discovery.
